DR wrote
three books.
|
|
The
first "Ride It!"
published by J H
Haynes is indeed the
"Complete Book of
Motorcycle Trials"
from one of the
greatest trials
riders of that era.
The book was the
first in a series of
practical guide
books published by
Haynes which are
dedicated to
motorcycle sports.
It was considered
only fitting by
Haynes that the
first book of the
series should be
written by a true
sports icon of the
trials world. As
such DR got the job.
Well worth a read to
all book enthusiasts
and a complete do
not miss to fans of
1960s motorcycle
trials.

The second book
"Ride It BMX" came
about after Don
introduced Bicycle
Motocross "BMX" to
the UK. It was first
published in August
1982 and republished
in October and
December that year
then again in
February and
December 1983 and in
March 1984. BMX was
an extremely popular
pass time and sport
in the late 70s and
early 80s and indeed
continues to thrive
to this day. |
|
Then there was the
1980 publication by
EP Sport Publishing
Limited entitled
Trials Bike Riding.
|
|
None of these books
are in publication
at present however
they are still in
demand. As rare as
they are it is
understood that all
3 books are passing
hands in the States
for as much as $80
per book.
